This is a senior leadership opportunity for a proven sales executive with deep experience in rental construction equipment or related heavy machinery markets.

We are partnering with a leading heavy construction equipment rental company in the USA that supports contractors, builders, and infrastructure clients with dependable equipment and responsive service.

As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an accomplished Vice President of Sales to lead commercial strategy, accelerate revenue growth, and strengthen market share across key territories.

The Role
Reporting to the executive leadership team, the Vice President of Sales will own the national sales strategy and lead a high-performing commercial function. You will balance strategic planning with hands-on leadership to deliver growth, customer retention, and operational alignment.

Key responsibilities include:
• Developing and executing the national sales strategy to drive revenue and profitability.
• Leading, coaching, and developing regional and territory sales teams.
• Growing business across contractor, commercial, infrastructure, and fleet accounts.
• Managing high-value customer relationships and strategic accounts.
• Overseeing pipeline management, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Partnering with operations, branch leaders, and service teams to support customer delivery.
• Identifying new market opportunities and supporting expansion into targeted segments.

The Candidate
We are looking for a commercially strong leader with experience in sales leadership within heavy construction rental equipment, construction equipment distribution, or a closely related sector.

You will need:
• Minimum 7 years of experience in sales or commercial leadership.
• Strong background in heavy equipment rental, construction equipment, or industrial machinery.
• Proven success in leading multi-site or regional sales teams.
• A track record of driving revenue growth and winning major accounts.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to operate strategically while remaining close to customers and the market.
• Strong commercial judgment and a results-driven mindset.
