Operations Director – Construction

A substantial London-based construction business operating across the capital and South East is looking for an Operations Director to join the senior leadership team. The business has a strong pipeline of complex, high value projects and is looking for an experienced operational leader to take full accountability for delivery across the portfolio. This is a board level appointment reporting directly to the CEO.
The role
You will have full operational accountability across the business. Delivery, commercial performance, people and supply chain all fall within your remit.
• Full operational oversight across a diverse and active project portfolio
• P&L responsibility and commercial performance across all live contracts
• Leadership of project directors, site management and operational teams
• Supply chain relationships, subcontractor management and procurement oversight
• Operational input into tendering, business development and strategic planning
• Direct report to the CEO
The person
You will have built your career in construction and reached this level through delivery, not politics. You know how sites work, how contracts go wrong and how to prevent both.
• Proven track record at Operations or Senior Project Director level within main contracting
• Experience across complex, high value projects in London and the South East
• Commercially sharp with direct P&L and contract management experience
• Strong leadership credentials — people have followed you, not just reported to you
• Established supply chain relationships within the London market
• Degree qualified in construction, engineering or a related discipline
