Sales Director
Salary: £110,000 – £135,000 + Package

We are working with a leading UK-based industrial automation company that designs and delivers advanced automation solutions for manufacturing, engineering, and production environments.
As part of their continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Sales Director to lead commercial strategy, drive revenue growth, and strengthen key customer relationships across the UK market.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a commercially focused sales professional with a proven track record in industrial automation, controls, or related technical sectors.

The Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, the Sales Director will take ownership of the UK sales strategy and help shape the future growth of the business. You will lead from the front, combining strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in key opportunities and customer relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
• Developing and executing the UK sales strategy in line with business objectives.
• Leading, coaching, and developing the sales team to deliver strong performance.
• Driving new business across industrial automation, controls, and engineered solutions markets.
• Managing high-value sales opportunities from initial engagement through to close.
• Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, customers, and partners.
• Working closely with engineering, operations, and project teams to support successful delivery.
• Monitoring pipeline, forecasting, and commercial performance with accuracy and discipline.
The Candidate
We are looking for a strong sales leader with at least 8 years’ experience in industrial automation, capital equipment, technical engineering sales, or a closely related sector. The ideal candidate will combine commercial drive with credibility in technical sales environments.
You will need:
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership.
• Proven success in industrial automation or a related technical sector.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
• A strong track record of winning and growing key accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to operate strategically while remaining commercially hands-on.
• Strong understanding of complex B2B sales cycles and solution-led selling.
