A well-capitalised data centre operator with an expanding North American footprint is looking for a Vice President of Operations to take executive responsibility for the performance and delivery of a growing portfolio of critical facilities.
The sector is moving fast. This business is investing ahead of demand and needs the operational leadership to match.
The role
You will have full operational accountability across a multi-site data centre portfolio. Uptime, capacity, cost, people and programme all sit with you. You will work at the intersection of operational delivery and strategic growth — ensuring the business can scale without compromising the standards its clients depend on.
• Full operational responsibility across live and pipeline facilities
• Critical systems performance, uptime and resilience
• Capital expenditure oversight and operational cost management
• Leadership of engineering, facilities and site operations teams
• Input into site acquisition, development and commissioning programmes
• Direct reporting line to C-suite
The person
You will have spent your career in data centre or critical facilities operations. You understand what failure means in this environment and you build teams and systems accordingly.
You are not a theorist. You have run serious operations, made difficult calls and delivered under pressure.
• Senior operational leadership experience within data centres or critical facilities
• Deep understanding of mechanical, electrical and critical systems
• Proven track record managing multi-site portfolios at scale
• Commercially literate with direct budget and capex responsibility
• Capable of operating at board level while remaining close to operational reality
• Based in or willing to relocate within the United States
